The Group Fibers Show at SCRAP's Re:Vision Gallery Opening Reception

SCRAP would like to invite you to the opening reception of the Re:Vision Gallery's Group Fiber Show. Join us Friday July 8 from 5:30-7:30pm for food, wine and a survey of contemporary re-use fiber arts in the Pacific Northwest. The Group Fibers Show encompasses fibers as defined by 12 Portland area artists using reclaimed materials ranging from vegetable twist ties to blankets to tea bags to create new works in the category of fiber arts. Exhibit runs through August 25.

First Thursday: Ten Years of Portland Mercury Covers at Powell's Basil Hallward Gallery

This month in the Basil Hallward Gallery, we're co-celebrating the Portland Mercury's 10th birthday by exhibiting posters of every cover since the beginning. (That's about 600 posters total!) Featured artists include Shepard Fairey, Mark Ryden, Shag, Nikki McClure, Jim Woodring, and countless other local and international superstars. Proceeds from sales of the posters will benefit the Independent Publishing Resource Center.
