Thread Box

This box was given to me full of silk threads for making headbands. It has a sloped lid inside of which is a compartment with another lidded box. The base incorporates two drawers that open from the sides rather than the front. It’s a charming box for stationary or cards and writing implements.

This is a 3 session class using the book "Built by Wendy Dresses". The first session is from 6:30-8:30pm, and you will draft your pattern and cut your fabric. The second 2 sessions, July 28th & August 2nd, 6:30-9:00pm,are all about construction. Once you've got the basics down you can adapt your pattern into infinite variations. In class you will be working on the sheath dress, project #8. Check the blog on our website, www.coolcottons.biz/news to see the photo of our sample. The book Built by Wendy Dresses is required for this class. Skill level: confident beginner

In this class you will learn the basic skills needed to wire wrap a cabochon, coin, or flat keepsake using either gold filled wire or sterling silver wire. The skills you will learn in this class are the same skills needed to wire wrap rings, or bracelets also. Once you have the basics down, you are only limited by your imagination, so come join our class, and get ready to have some fun.
