4th Anniversary Juried Show

Portland, Oregon. On September 10th, 2010 The 100th Monkey Studio will host an art opening for the studio’s 4th Annual Juried Show. The event will be held from 6pm-9pm and is free and open to the public. Harpist, Raelyn Olson will provide live music. Refreshments will be provided. This event is for all ages. The show will hang in the studio from 9/10/10 to 9/26/10.

The Juried Show is collection of work that has been selected b...y a group of established artists here in Portland. The jurors include Lisa Albinger, Jo Brody, Amy Buchheit and Tim Combs with Jessica Breedlove, Katy Meacham and Kaley Ortiz. As a group the jurors selected the strongest and most cohesive work. The work ranges from landscape paintings, photography to abstract pen and ink drawings and represent the full range of Portland artists. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Creative Use of Content, and Craftsmanship.

The artists include, Robin Ator, Adrian Castillo, Carrie Cheshire, LeeAnn Gauthier, Anne Goodrich, Kurtis Hough, Amanda James, Joshua Latham, Bernadette Leno, Jen Mitsuko, Matt Niebuhr, LoLo Strane and Paul Vernier.

Striving to create connections within our community, the 100th Monkey Studio offers a creative place to visit, view art and/or locate personal resources. The studio founders believe in providing any artist willing with the tools and knowledge to use them, but also the support and freedom to express individuality and vision.
