You have probably admired the beautiful lace trim on vintage linens such as hankies and pillowcases. Now is your opportunity to learn this talent of the past and create this charming embellishment. This is a two class series. In the first class the instructor will share some of the history of tatting and examples of how the finished lace can be used. You will learn the basic tatting stitches and have time to practice with the instructor’s assistance. In the second class, the instruction will continue and you will work on a basic project. Class includes 3 hours of instruction, written tatting instructions, shuttle and thread for practice. You will need to purchase thread of your choosing for the project in class two. We will have some thread available for purchase here, or you can bring your own. Scissors are available for use in class but you may prefer to bring your own favorite pair with you.
